My name is Stephanie Rojo and welcome to my digital portfolio. I am a senior at Oklahoma State University pursuing two Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and strategic communications. I am also minoring in legal studies. My expected graduation date is May 2019.
I like to keep myself busy, and I make it a priority to completely dedicate myself to whatever task I am given.
I enjoy being involved both on campus and in my community. I am a senator representing Greek life students on campus in the Student Government Association. As a senator, I work on identifying issues impacting students and pinpointing areas where we can improve the college experience for them.
I served as the vice president of my sorority from January – December 2017. During my term, I was in charge of planning and facilitating weekly chapter meetings and curating over 15 events for 200 members. In addition, I am on the Student Alumni Board serving as an ambassador for my university’s alumni association. I am also a President's Partner. This is a program where students assist my university’s president in events that he hosts. Last year, I also had the opportunity to work on the Homecoming Steering Committee. As a member I was able to help plan and put on America’s Greatest Homecoming celebration.
During the Summer of 2017, I interned in Washington D.C. at the government affairs firm Stateside Associates. Spending the summer in the nation’s capital is a time I will never forget. At the end of the summer I was offered a position helping them with local legislation research. This job has taught me valuable insights on time management, work ethic and professionalism. Government affairs offers a variety of career paths, and it is a field that I am interested in going into after college.
